The University of Calcutta is known as Calcutta University or CU. It is a public state university which is situated in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. This university was established on 24 January 1857.

Department of Business Management, Calcutta University is ranked 38 according to a survey of Business Schools all over India conducted by 'Business World. It has been ranked 38 amongst the topmost B-schools in India and 2 amongst University Management Departments according to recent survey conducted by 'Business World' magazine.
