Re: CA after B.Com
To become a Chartered Accountant , you need to enrol with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India To start practising, a CA has to clear all the exams and become an Associate Member of the Council. The course constitutes of 3 stages and only 5 attempts are permitted for each stage stage1:-CPT (common proficiency test) stage2:-IPCC(integrated professional competence course) stage3:-articleship and final course You can pursue CA even after B.Com. After B.Com you can begin from IPCC level itself. The new rule in case of CA course specifies that applicants who are graduates can directly apply for IPCC with out CPT. Such applicants are allowed exception from CPT exam. On qualifying in IPCC, applicants need to attend article ship training as well. The last level is final CA course. This can be attended only by those applicants who clear IPCC and 3 year article ship training also. Subjects for IPCC: Group I • Paper 1 - Accounting (100 Marks) • Paper 2 - Business Laws, Ethics and Communication (100 Marks) Part I : Law (60 Marks) Business Laws (30 Marks) Company Law (30 Marks) Part II: Business Ethics (20 Marks) Part III: Business Communication (20 Marks) • Paper 3 - Cost Accounting and Financial Management Part I : Cost Accounting (50 Marks) Part II : Financial Management (50 Marks) • Paper 4 - Taxation Part I : Income-tax (50 Marks) Part II: Service Tax (25 Marks) and VAT (25 marks) Group II • Paper 5 - Advanced Accounting (100 Marks) • Paper 6 - Auditing and Assurance (100 Marks) • Paper 7 - Information Technology and Strategic Management Section A: Information Technology (50 Marks) Section B: Strategic Management (50 Marks) |
