The Burdwan University has a Distance Education facility. The Burdwan University is offering various courses from Distance Education.

The Directorate of Distance Education in accordance with the suggestion of the Distance Education Council (DEC), was established in 1994.

The education is evolved and developed since its inception and in 2008 it has a good infrastructure.

The Directorate of Distance Education is situated in the Golapbag Campus, the DDE has a beautiful building.
