Three Easy Steps to get Permit card:
1. You must be at least 15 and half years old.
2. You must complete a Driver Education Program
3. You will need to enroll in a 6-hour Driver Training program

List of documents:
DMV Application for your permit and Driver’s License (DL 44). If both parents or guardians have custody, then both parents will have to sign it. If not, only the parent/guardian who has custody will have to sign it.
Certificate of Completion of Driver’s Education (OL237 or DL 400B) or Certificate of Completion of Non-Classroom Driver’s Education (DL 400C)
Your birth certificate or passport (original or certified copy).
You must pay the DMV a $31.00 Fee which covers both the Permit and Drive test. You must then pass the written exam (46 questions in which you can miss a maximum of 8 questions and still pass). Your Permit is good for 1 year from the application date, not from when you get it.

Behind The Wheel (BTW) School of Driving provides tutoring classes for driving for children.

The school is run by Tom Flynn.

It offers state certified driving instruction based on safety and respect for others who share the road.

It offers 2 ways to register for driving school. First and easiest, is to register online by filling out the information requested on the classroom registration page. A 2nd way to register is to call its office at (216) 509-3574.

It will ask for your full legal name, date of birth, home address, home phone number, and a parent or guardian’s name and contact information.

After registering, you should download and fill out the registration forms. These forms and contract must be signed by a parent/legal guardian.

The tuition for the traditional driving class is $385 and includes the 8 (3 hour) classroom sessions and the 8 hours of in-car instruction.
