Can you tell me in detail about the recruitment to the cadre of Telecom Technical Assistant (TTA) in J & K Circle conducted in 2007 – 2008?

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. [ BSNL] J&K Circle invited applications from eligible Indian citizens for recruitment to the cadre of Telecom Technical Assistant through competitive examination in the IDA pay scale of BSNL of Rs 7100-200-10100 plus usual allowances as admissible from time to time in different SSAs of J&K Circle .

Eligibility:

(a) Nationality: Only Indian Nationals were eligible to apply.


(b) Educational Qualifications:
(a) Applicants had to possess as on 16.11.2007 three years Engineering Diploma in Telecommunications Engineering / Electronics Engineering/ Electrical Engineering / Radio Engineering / Computer Engineering / Instrument Technology or M. Sc (Electronics) from a recognized Institution / University.

(b) Candidates possessing B.E. / B. Tech qualification in the same streams as mentioned above were also eligible.


Note: (i) No bonus marks will be awarded for any higher qualifications or sports qualifications.
(ii) candidates will have option to appear in any one/all papers in Hindi or English except English language option of paper -I.


Age:
The candidates should be between 18 and 27 years of age on the closing date for receipt of applications. The upper age limit was relaxable by 5 years for SC / ST and 3 years for OBC candidates.


Probation Period:
The candidates appointed remained on probation for a period of two years (liable to be extended by appointing authority).

Service Liability:
Normally, within the territorial jurisdiction of SSA concerned but transferable anywhere in India in the interest of service. The candidates on appointment shall, if so required, be liable to serve in Territorial Army/ Signal Units for period specified in the Territorial Army Act and under rules made there under.
