BSNL TTA Future

Can you tell me in detail about the eligibility requirement for the post of Telecom Technical Assistant (TTA) in BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) as I want to make a future on this post?

A Telecom Technical Assistant in BSNL or Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited is tasked with the function of maintenance in new areas of telecom technology.

TTA in BSNL can be categorized into two categories

•TTA (switching)
•TTA (transmission)

Eligibility required for BSNL TTA:-

Three Years Engineering Diploma in

- Telecommunications Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Radio Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Instruments Technology
- Information Technology.

M.Sc. (Electronics) from a recognized institution /university.

Age Limit:- Candidates aged between 18 and 27 years of age are eligible to apply.

Age Relaxation:-

•For Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes up to 5 years
•For OBC Candidates up to 3 years

Selection Procedure:-

Selection is through a Competitive Examination.
The TTA cadre being an SSA based cadre, selection will be based on Merit of the concerned SSA only, followed by a medical test, Pre-appointment formalities etc.
Posting is given subject to successful completion of training.

BSNL TTA Exam Paper Pattern:-

There is only one Paper of multiple choice objective type of three hours duration.

Part- I - General Ability Test - 20 marks
Part- II Basic Engineering - 90 marks
Part- III Specialization - 90 marks

Total number of Questions in the paper would be 200 and each question shall carry one mark.

The standard of paper in General Ability test will be such as may be expected of an Engineering Diploma holder.

The standard of papers in other subject will approximately be that of Diploma level of an Indian Polytechnic.

There will be negative marking for each wrong one,25% of mark of that question shall be deducted
