Hi I sir I want to know that in which cadre the BSF ITBP and CRPF comes or which unit is commonly k known as for these special services??

Well the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) refers to uniform nomenclature of five security forces which also includes the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) The CAPFs have their self cadre of officers, but they are directed by officers of the Indian Police Service Officers in CAPFs are selected through Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination conducted by UPSC. Constables are selected through competitive examination conducted by Staff Selection Commission. CAPFs conduct recruitment for specialized posts such as Engineers, Doctors etc. among DAGOs and Wireless operators, Technicians, Nursing Staff etc. among subordinate officers and constables directly under their own authority. Border Security Force (BSF) The first role of the Border Security Force is to police border areas of the country, except the mountains. It has all police powers in its jurisdiction. It has 245,000 personnel in 186 battalions Women personnel of Indian Border Security Force Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) The Indo-Tibetan Border Police is deployed for guarding duties on the border with China from Karakoram Pass in Ladakh to Diphu La in Arunachal Pradesh covering a total distance of 2488 km Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) The Central Reserve Police Force is the largest of the Central Armed Police Forces units with 325,000 personnel in 245 battalions |
