Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati was established in the year 1994. It is located at Guwahati, Assam, India .

There are total nine full-fledged hostels, including one girls’ hostel and one new boys’ hostel at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati

Brahmaputra, Dibang, Manas, Kameng, Umiam, Kapili, Dihing, Siang and Barak are the boys hostels, while Subansiri is the girls hostel.
