Re: BPUT NFT Rule

The NFT rule of BPUT is also known as not fit for technical education. It means those candidates can't secure 4.5 semester grade per average in the first three semesters, can not complete the course.

The BPUT is giving some conditions to these candidates if they are not agreeing with these conditions they may go to court.

The criteria are an effort to weed out students, who fail, despite repeated attempts. A student getting lower than 4.5 semester grade point average in three consecutive (first, second and third) semesters is declared an NFT.

Rules for examinations

Each discipline consists of the following four types of items:
Theory Items
Practical Items
Sessional Items
Project Items

Passed and Promoted indicating that:

The candidate has cleared every registered course item of both odd and even semester of the academic year.
He / She has no backlog from lower levels.
He / She has secured CGPA of 6.0 or more

Theory Papers:

A theory paper will have 100 percentage points. The weightage for three class tests and the end semester examinations will be as follows:
Class Test - I of one hour duration = 10 percentage points.
Class Test - II of one hour duration = 10 percentage points.
Class Test - III of one hour duration = 10 percentage points.
End Semester Examination of = 70 percentage points. three hours duration.
Total 100 percentage points
