The syllabus of BPSC (Bihar Public Service Commission) as you needs it for your preparation is as follows:

BPSC Syllabus covers 5 subjects in which 3 subjects are compulsory and 2 subjects are based on choice to choose. BPSC exam involves 3 tests. First two tests are written exams and third test includes Personal interview.

First written exam is Preliminary examination. One who qualify in the Preliminary exam attend the second written test that is Main examination. Finally personal interview is conducted by the BPSC.

BPSE Exam Syllabus

Compulsory subjects:
English
1. Spotting the Errors
2. Antonyms and Synonyms
3. Filling in the blanks
4. Use of prepositions, idioms/phrases
5. Word analogies
6. Test of spellings
7. Re-arranging jumbled up sentences
8. Comprehension of passage and answering questions based on the passage

General Knowledge
1. Current events of national and international importance
2. History of India and Indian National Movement
3. Indian and World Geography
4. Indian Polity and Economy
5. General Mental Ability Questions

Mathematics
1. Algebra
2. Linear Algebra
3. Calculus
4. Trigonometry
5. Analytic Geometry
6. Ordinary Differential Equations
7. Dynamics, Statics and Hydrostatics
8. Vector Analysis
9. Real Analysis
10. Complex Analysis
11. Partial differential equations

Optional Subjects (any 2):
1. Geology
2. Mathematics
3. Physics
4. Mechanical Engineering
5. Civil Engineering
6. Economics
7. Statistics
8. Agriculture
9. Zoology

Following is the exam pattern of Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC):
Preliminary examination
Main Examination
Interview

Preliminary examination:
This question paper will be of objective type.

The question paper consists of total three sections which you have to answer:
Mathematics
GK (General Knowledge) and
English

Paper-1 consists of total 100 questions and every correct answer gives two marks and this paper will be based on general studies.

Mains examination:
Applicants will be given a basket of subjects in which they to select any two subject of their choice and question paper will be given from the selected subjects.

Optional subjects:
Statistics
Economics
Mathematics
Mechanical Engineering
Statistics
Zoology and
Agriculture respectively
Physics
Mechanical Engineering
Chemistry
Geology

Paper-2 also contains same number of questions as in paper-1 and each question in this paper is also of two marks.

Eligibility Criteria :
Degree in Natural Science
Geology
Mechanical Engineering
Civil Engineering
Mathematics
Statistics
Chemical Engineering
Agriculture or Economics

Age: 21-35 years.
