Can you provide me the syllabus of BPSC – Bihar Public Service Commission conducts PCS (Provincial Civil Services) Main Examination as I need it for preparation of the exam?

BPSC – Bihar Public Service Commission conducts PCS (Provincial Civil Services) Examination. The pattern of the Main Examination is described below – Main Examination – The main examination comprises of – (i) Written Examination and (ii) Personal Interview For the Written Examination, there are basically four papers in BPSC Main Examination – (i) Hindi (ii) General Studies (iii) First Optional Paper and (iv) Second Optional Paper Total marks assigned to Written Examination are 1200. Hindi – The applicants will have to obtain at least 30 marks in Hindi. No extra marks will be counted in the total marks. General Studies–GS (General Studies) is divided in two categories – GS Paper I and GS Paper II 200 are the maximum marks for each GS paper. The timing assigned to them is three hours individually. Both the section of GS is further divided into three sections. First Optional Paper – Paper 4 – paper I of First Optional subjects (Total 200 Marks) Paper 5 – paper II of First Optional subject (Total 200 Marks) Second Optional Paper – Paper 6 – paper I of Second Optional Subject (Total 200 Marks) Paper 7 – paper II of Second Optional Subject (Total 200 Marks) Optional Papers – The optional papers may comprise of following subjects – 1) Agricultural 2) Management 3) Animal Husbandry &Veterinary Science 4) Mathematics 5) Anthropology S 6) Mechanical Engineering 7) Botany 8) Medical Science 9) Chemistry 10) Philosophy 11) Civil Engineering 12) Physics 13) Commerce & Accountancy 14) Political Science & International Relations 15) Economics 16) Psychology 17) Electrical Engineering 18) Public Administration 19) Geography 20) Sociology 21) Geology 22) Statistics 23) Indian History 24) Zoology 25) Law One must choose their optional subjects wisely. Once they clear the Preliminary examination and the Written Examination (Main), they will be called for the Interview Process. The interview of the applicants will be of 150 marks. |
