First I would like to tell you about Bombay Scottish School (BSS). It is very popularly private, co-educational day school located at Mahim in Mumbai, India.
The institution was established in 1847 by Scottish Christian missionaries under the name Scottish Female Orphanage.
The School follows the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) up to the tenth grade and the Indian School Certificate (ISC) for the eleventh and twelfth grades.

The Parent Teacher Association plays an energetic and important role, appointing sub-committees to supervise the school bus system, after-school teaching in games and the canteen service. The PTA Management Committee comprises parent legislature from each standard as well as teachers. The committee meets one time a month. PTA membership is open to all parents of students at present enrolled, on payment of an annual membership fee of Rs 400 only.
