Information Technology Governance, Risk and Compliance or IT GRC in Boise State University is defined as a set of internal programs or processes that helps bridge the gap between Boise State Universitys institutional strategies and IT plans for strategic execution. Its mission is to leverage industry standard GRC processes to establish and maintain a regulatory framework to satisfy IT governance requirements; identify, evaluate and manage IT risks across the Boise State enterprise and monitor and report on Boise State IT compliance as it relates to state and federal laws. Services Customer Care The Office of Information Technologys Customer Care organization, including the Help Desk @ the Zone, is where Boise State University students, faculty and staff can get help for operational, software and hardware questions and issues. Project Management Office The Office of Information Technology Project Management Office utilizes processes, methodologies and tools to organize and manage information technology projects. Communications, Training, Web Support and Accessibility Providing IT communications, myBoiseState content, technology training for faculty and staff, WordPress support, and web accessibility remediation and guidance Technology Services Technology Services provides enterprise computing resources, telecommunications and client support. Research Computing Advancing research at Boise State through innovative technical partnerships and grant development to support a robust cyberinfrastructure Development Services Development Services is responsible for projects, production support, and maintenance of Universitys Enterprise Systems. It works with functional areas around the campus to update and maintain various systems. It also works with campus areas to evaluate, plan and propose new systems and technologies that enhance operations and support our Universitys strategic plan. Cybersecurity Cybersecurity coordinates University information security initiatives, creates awareness for information security issues, and investigates information security incidents. OIT Business Services OIT Business Services provides billing for printing & graphics, mail services, telephone, computer hardware repair and other University IT services. Long Distance calling cards, 800 numbers, off campus telephone lines, and cell phones are also obtained through OIT Business Services. Postal Mail Services Mail Services for University is provided by Central Postal Services, State of Idaho Department of Administration. Department ID codes must be on all outgoing mail. Deliveries and pickups are made once per day. |
