Admissions Criteria

Girls come to New Haven with burdened of emotional pain or behavioral dysfunction. For such girls, things have stopped working at home, at school, and in life.

Many of the students have suffered with one or more emotional issues-such as eating disorders, anxiety, or substance abuse – with little relief, often despite multiple hospitalizations or therapeutic placements.

The treatment approach of the Institute brings nurturance, healing, and support to the whole family. New Haven students come from all over the United States and the world.
