Eligibility
Candidates must have passed an integrated first degree of BITS or equivalent with a minimum of 60%. The detailed eligibility is as follows:

Biotechnology
Candidates must have adequate preparation in Bio-chemistry and Microbiology.

Chemical Engineering; Civil Engineering; Computer Science; Mechanical Engineering
Degree in the same discipline as applying for

Communication Engineering
Degree in Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Instrumentation or its equivalent.

Design Engineering; Manufacturing Systems Engineering
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or M.Sc. (Tech.) Engineering Technology of BITS or its equivalent with the requirement of taking certain additional courses.

Electrical with specialization in Power Electronics & Drives
Degree in Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Instrumentation

Embedded Systems
Degree in Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Computer Science

Microelectronics
Degree in Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Computer Science/ Physics

Software Systems
Any degree in engineering/technology with specific prior preparation.

Selection procedure
Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their scores in the BITS HD Admission Test 2016.

Application Fees: Rs.2200

Exam pattern
Part 1:
Duration of 60 minutes. Candidates have to answer 60 questions as mentioned below with each section consisting of 15 questions

Core Mathematics

Core Physics

English Language Skills & Principles of Management

Computer Programming

Part II:
This part will be for 120 minutes and candidates have to answer 100 questions

It is a compulsory test for students based on the qualifying degree programme

Candidates who have applied for Software systems are exempt from this section

For M.E. in Software systems: A special test consisting of 50 questions with duration of 60 Minutes will be conducted.
