BITS Pilani Number of Attempts

Can you tell me about the number of attempts one gets in BITSAT Engineering Entrance Exam for admission in Under Graduation Engineering course in BITS (Birla Institute of Technology and Science) Pilani?

BITSAT eligibility criteria clearly specify that students who want to take admission to any of the Integrated First Degree Programmes offered by BITS Pilani campus need to pass the Class 12 exam from a recognized Central or State Board.

No limit specified for number of attempts in the BITSAT eligibility criteria.

Only Students who are appearing for 12th exam in the current year or who have passed 12th Examination in previous year are eligible to appear in the BITSAT- test.

If one has taken more than one attempt in 12th class or its equivalent, only one’s latest performance will be considered, provided this attempt has been for the full component of subjects/courses prescribed.

Admission is made purely on merit.

The merit position of the candidate for admission is based on the score obtained by the candidate in the BITSAT.

Direct Admission to Board Toppers:

Rank holder students of all the central and state boards in India are given direct admission to the program of one’s choice, irrespective of their BITSAT score

Admission of International students:

International students can also take SAT and SAT Subject Tests conducted by College Board (USA) for admission to different first degree programmes at BITS Pilani-Hyderabad Campus.

Those candidates who holds passport issued by country other than India only are eligible under "International student’s scheme".

Admission is made on merit resolute by score obtained by candidate in SAT Subject Tests in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Level 2, subject to candidate meeting above eligibility criteria.
