Hey as The Railway Recruitment Board, Patna's genesis can be traced back to 1961 when a small office of Railway Service Commission was established at Danapur which had an Assistant secretary and a few class III and class IV staff.


Age limit

Age of applying candidates should reside between 18 to 32 years. Relaxation in age will be given upto 5 years for SC/ST category candidates and 3 years for OBC category contenders.

Educational qualification

3 years Diploma in any field of Engineering or B.Sc in related Engineering of 3 years duration OR a combination of any sub stream of basic streams of any field of Engineering from a Recognized University


Salary pay :

Shortlisted job appliers will receive pay scale of Rs. 9300–34800/- with a grade pay of Rs. 4200/- per month.

Examination Fees:

Applicants going to apply for RRB Patna Recruitment need to pay non- refundable examination charges of Rs. 100/-. Applying contenders should deposit examination cost either by choosing online mode (Internet Banking/ credit card/ debit card) or offline mode (challan in any branch of SBI or preset Post Office Pay-In-Slip). There is relaxation in Examination cost provided to reserved category candidates, women contenders etc that they are exempted for making payment of examination fees.
