Banaras Hindu University offers the Under Graduate, Bachelor of Fine Arts course and conducts an Entrance exam for aspiring applicants who are looking forward to take admission in under graduate courses offered by BHU.

Eligibility Criteria / Entry Requirements
(a) Qualified in 10+2 or equivalent Examination securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate.
(b) Applicants born on or after 01.07.1984 only are eligible to apply.

Mode of Admission
Admissions are done through an Entrance Examination Undergraduate Entrance Test (UET) generally conducted between May/June every year. Notification for the Entrance Examination will be usually released during month of February every year.

Admission to Foreign Nationals
This course is also open for Foreign Nationals as per the rules of the University. The inter-se merit among the aspirants of various foreign nationals will be decided by the "Core Committee for Admissions of Foreign Nationals", which shall be deemed as final.

Entrance Test Syllabus & Format:

There will be one theory paper and two practical examination.

2) In theory paper there will be fifty multiple choice question carrying 150 marks of 60 minute duration.

3) Questions will be based on general awareness in visual arts

4) There will be two Practical Examinations held

(i) Object drawing in pencil with light and shade of 90 minutes duration carrying 150 marks.

(ii) Memory Drawing from imagination of 90 minutes duration carrying 150 marks in any medium i.e. Pencil, Color Pencils, Pastels, Crayons, Water Color, Poster Color etc.

5) The practical examinations for shortlisted aspirants will be held at BHU Campus, Varanasi only.

6) Appearance in both the Theory and Practical Examinations is mandatory in order to be eligible for consideration for admission.

7) Aspirants must prepare as per the criteria mentioned above to fulfill their aim of getting admission in B.F.A course offered by Banaras Hindu University.
