Built up in the year 1998, by Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Act 13, 1998. Over a sprawling Campus of around 247 sections of land, the Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya is walking towards improvement into a focal point of perfection in the field of Technical Education, Research and Innovations.

UIT-RGPV is one of the head building organizations in Central India. The Institution was built up in the year 1986 by the Government of Madhya Pradesh as the Government Engineering College (GEC), Bhopal.
