The National Conference on Theoretical and Experimental Advantages in Civil Engineering function held at the University Auditorium of Bharath University at 10 a.m. on 12-8-2009.

The inaugural function started with the invocation of Tamil Thai Vazthu. Dr.M.P. Chockalingam, Head, Department of Civil Engineering welcomed the gathering and spoke about theory and practice in Civil Engineering.

This Conference was inaugurated by lighting the Kuthu Vilakku, by the dignitaries as a symbol of an auspicious beginning.
