Which is better IES or IAS

Which exam is better that is IES or IAS, can you describe here or provide information here?

Dear, its totally depends on you to choose one from IAS/IES, becoz both have their own importance.

IES/IAS both exams are conducted by UPSC every year.

IAS-
INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES
IES-
INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICES


When you give the IAS then you can only work for administrative department.

From IES you go in engineering department.
IES only you give after B.E/B.TECH degree that's why this is difference from IAS.

IAS officers are mainly concerned with the administration duties.
They are required for maintaining the bureaucracy of the Central and State Governments.
IAS officers are mainly employed in departments such as Indian Railway Service, Indian Revenue Department, Indian Audit and Account Services etc.
They do administrative jobs like- Sectretary to the PM, CM, cabinet minisers, Revenue.

IES are required to perform administrative as well as technical duties for the Government.
IES officers are generally employed in Indian Railway Engineering service, Military Engineering Service, Central Engineering Service.

Both are best but importances give to your choice.

Eligibility
The applicant should have a degree in the related field of engineering form a reputed institute/ college/ university must be completed by the applier.

Those, who are in their final year of Degree, are eligible to apply for the exam.

Or

The M.Sc degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject also acceptable for certain posts.

IAS eligibility:
Education:
The applicant should have a degree in Engineering from a recognised university or equivalent.

The Candidates appearing at their engineering degree or equivalent examination are also eligible to compete.

No physical fitness is required for IAS.

Only for IPS physical fitness is required.

Every year UPSC will conduct exam for IAS
