Berhampur University is one of the best universities of Orissa, India. The university is located in Berhampur, Orissa.

Berhampur University caters the educational needs of students belonging to Berhampur and Orissa. It was established in 1967.

Admission Eligibility Criteria & Courses Offered

For admission into M.A. (Except IR & PM and Journalism & Mass Communication)/ M.Sc. (except Electronic Science) / M.Com.

Any person who has passed the qualifying degree examination with a minimum of 45 % of marks in aggregate or in honours of the concerned subject is eligible for consideration for admission in to any of the courses offered by the P.G. Departments of the University (unless otherwise specified in the Regulations).

For admission into M.A. (IR & PM and Journalism & Mass Communication) / M.Sc. (Electronic Science)

Any person who has passed the qualifying degree examination with a minimum of 50 % of marks in aggregate or in honours in any subject as per eligibility

For admission into LL.M

Any person who has passed the LL.B. Examination with a minimum of 55% of marks in aggregate (for General category) and a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate

The application should be accompanied by the following documents

Two recent passport size colour photographs duly attested by gazetted officer.
Self attested copies of all mark sheets and certificates of all the examinations passed (HSC or equivalent, Intermediate/+2, B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./B.E.S./B.I.T./B.E./LL.B/M.B.B.S./+3 Degree etc., M.A. History/Archaeology/ Indian Culture). Candidates should submit copies of the mark-sheets of 1st year, 2nd year and Final Year examinations of the B.A./B.Sc./B.Com.
Duly filled-in prescribed Affidavits (Annexure-I and II) in non-judicial stamp paper in original are to be submitted, if selected for admission.
Attested copies of certificate(s) in support of claim, if any, for a seat against the reserved quota.
Declaration as specified in the Application Form.
Two self addressed envelopes (22 cm x 10 cm).
Self attested copy of Registration Receipt (for Berhampur University candidates).
Bank Draft in original for the amount as stipulated at provision VII of the prospectus towards Processing-cumApplication Fee.
Duly filled-in Student ID-Card Format
Applicants interested for accommodation in the University Hostels are to submit an application in plain paper to the Head of the Department along with the application.
