Dont worry I will get details of CSIR UGC NET and will also let you know the benefits of the exam. Here are the benefits Qualifying National Eligibility Test enables one to be eligible to apply for the position of Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Universities and Colleges located anywhere in India. Qualifying National Eligibility Test also makes one eligible for Junior Research Fellowship but the maximum age limit to apply for fellowship is 28 years and since you are 38, you can only take the test for Lectureship. The Test is conducted by University Grant Commission and in order to take it, you must possess a masters degree with a minimum of 55% marks in the final year of the master degree examination. The required percentage of marks is relaxed upto 5% for candidates belonging to SC/ST category. You may take the test only in the subject in which you have pursued your masters degree program. Ex, if you have done M.Com, you will have to take the test in Commerce and will be considered for the position of lecturer in the same discipline in universities and colleges of India after qualifying the test. Exam centres Bangalore, Bhavnagar, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Guntur, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu, Jamshedpur, Jorhat, Karaikudi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Nagpur, Pilani, Pune, Raipur, Roorkee, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Udaipur and Varanasi Fees S.No. Category applicants Fee Structure 1. SC/ST and PWD applicants Rs:- 250/- Exam pattern The National Eligibility Test conducted by CSIR will be held in total five subjects Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Physical Sciences and Chemical Sciences. The test will consist of a single MCQ paper of 200 marks. The exam will be held in two shifts Morning (9.00 AM 12.00 Noon) and Evening session (9.00 AM 12.00 Noon). There will be negative marks for wrong answers as per the subject wise scheme of the exam. In case, any question found to be wrong at a later stage then the benefit of marks will be given to only those candidates who attempt the question. The Syllabus of CSIR UGC NET includes topics what the candidates have studied in their M.Sc program. |
