As you want to know the History of British Columbia Registered Music Teachers’ Association History- Established in 1932 as the B.C. Music Teachers Federation, the British Columbia Registered Music Teachers' Association (BCRMTA) is the representative body of the profession of the private music teacher in British Columbia. Together with associations from Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba it helped to found the Federation of Music Teachers' Associations (later called the CFMTA) in 1935. In 1947 we received a provincial legislative charter and the bylaws of our Association are association according to the provisions of Section 10 of "An Act Respecting British Columbia Registered Music Teachers' Association".
