Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL) is implementing the prestigious Assam Gas Cracker project, the first ever Petrochemical project in entire North East India.

Project details:

BCPL is setting up an LLDPE/HDPE Swing unit which is designed to process 2, 20,000 TPA of LLDPE and HDPE.

Technology : Gas Phase Polymerization
Raw Material :
Monomer : Ethylene
Co Monomer : Butene-1 and Hexene
Catalyst : Ziegler Natta Catalyst and Chromium (Future)
Co Catalyst : Tri Ethyl Aluminum (TEAL)

Properties of LLDPE

Higher tensile strength than LDPE
Exhibits higher impact and puncture resistance than LDPE
Lower thickness film can be blown compared to LDPE
Better environmental stress cracking resistance
Semi rigid, Very tough and weather proof
Good Chemical resistance.

Properties of HDPE

Flexible, Translucent/Waxy and Weather proof
Good low temperature toughness(to -60° C)
Good chemical resistance
Easy to process by most methods and low cost
