Admission to the First-Year Class

Undergraduate Course Requirements

Candidates must have satisfactorily completed no less than 90 undergraduate semester hours at a fully accredited college or university in the US by the time of enrollment in medical school.

RECOMMENDED: Spanish

The following courses must have been completed satisfactorily:

Math (3-4 semester hours) - Biostatistics (preferred), but any course with quantitative math.

Examples: statistics, physics, calculus
Expository Writing (16 semester hours;
4 of which should be in expository writing) - Humanities-Social/Behavioral Sciences

Advanced Biology (3-4 semester hours) - Genetics, cell/molecular biology; lab is NOT required

Organic Chemistry (8 semester hours) - lab is NOT required

Biochemistry (3-4 semester hours) - lab is NOT required
