Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University is a Central University in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
The university was established on January 10, 1996 and is named after Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution.

The professional foundation for the library services of this University was laid in January 1998. The library inherited approximately a thousand reference books acquired by earlier arrangements and a thousand books in Hindi donated by the UP Bhasha Sansthan programs
