BARC is one of the leading units of DAE which is having different groups inside

Medical Group is one of the groups in BARC and which is having two divisions namely Medical Division and Radiation Medicine Centre.

Medical Division offers the Health Care facilities under the Contributory Health Service Scheme (CHSS) of DAE

Medical Division having its multispecialty hospital and 13 Zonal dispensaries along with 3 occupational healths centre at Trombay & Vashi-BRIT (Board of Radiation & Isotope Therapy). A 24 x 7 Casualty is also functioning at BARC Hospital premises to attend the emergencies.

BARC Hospital is 390 bedded multispecialty centres at Anushaktinagar, Mumbai - 94. The hospital is accredited by the National Board of Examination (NBE), New Delhi for 20 Primary and 14 Secondary per year seats of DNB (Diplomat of National Board) program presently operating 16 seats of this course.

13 Zonal dispensaries and 2 occupational health centres are functioning for providing the primary health care facility inside Mumbai, Thane-Dombivali-Kalan and Navi Mumbai. Primary Health Care is provided through these dispensaries

Medical Division is fully computerized unit with a web based Hospital Information System (HIS) developed using J2EE front end and MySQL as back end. HIS of Medical Division is having its connectivity at all the service centres.

Divisional staff members are proficient to use the HIS; hence the patient details are regularly updated in HIS along with appointments, prescriptions, Lab Investigation and clinical finding and others.
