Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) is a premier institution for research and development (R&D) in the areas of Physical, Chemical and Life Sciences


BARC offers a Ph.D programme in basic Sciences, it consist of 1 year course.

Eligibility:

Candidate having M.Sc in Physics/Chemistry/Biology or related science subjects passed with minimum 60% marks in M.Sc as well as in B.Sc

Candidates for Physics discipline should have Physics and Mathematics up to B.Sc or five years integrated M.Sc level

For Biology and related disciplines; M.Sc in Agriculture, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Genetics, Botany, Zoology, Plant Science, Plant Breeding, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Food Technology, Animal Science, Life Sciences and Biosciences is eligible

Admission Procedure:

Admission for the Ph.D programme is based on:

Rank obtained/marks scored in the UGC-CSIR-JRF-NET

Additional criteria based on previous academic performance in the M.Sc and/or B.Sc examinations

Candidates should have a valid fellowship for undertaking Ph.D work at BARC, available through the NET examinations conducted by UGC-CSIR, DBT, ICAR or ICMR for pursuing the Ph.D work

As you want I am here telling you about the process for admission Diploma in Radiological Physics course in Bhabha Atomic Research Centre.

Process for admission:

Selection of non-sponsored candidates is based on :
Written test
Interview.


Candidates who are eligible to participate in the written test will be short-listed based on merit .

Selected candidates will be informed in advance.

Selection of sponsored candidates :
Interview - eligible sponsored candidates will be called for the interview directly.

Eligibility Criteria for course:

Candidate should scored minimum of 60% marks in B.Sc. as well as in M.Sc ( Physics ).

Sponsored candidates should have minimum of one-year working experience in a Radiotherapy Department in India.

Sponsored candidates should also submit a documentary evidence of availing personal monitoring service from BARC / accredited laboratories.

Written test pattern:
duration : 2 hrs

Multiple Choice Questions with negative marking for incorrect answers.
