Founded in 1969 as an autonomous college, on 22 July 2008 it was declared as an institution deemed to be university Master Of Philosophy (MPHIL) In Chemistry The Master of Philosophy (MPhil) programme in Chemistry is designed primarily for teachers, researchers and postgraduate students who intend to pursue higher studies in chemistry. The theory papers include one general paper: Research Methodology and Two elective papers: Elective 1: Modern Methods of Chemistry (mandatory for students of all electives) Elective 2: Any one paper from four electives listed below: 1. Coordination Chemistry 2. Heterocyclic chemistry 3. Adsorption and Catalysis 4.
