Who is the dance teacher in Banaras hindu university??? Would you please provide me dance teachers list of Banaras hindu university???? Because I want to learn Kathak and Bhartnatyam so please give me list with contact details……..

I am interested in the field of arts and for this planning to join Banaras Hindu University Dance department for doing BMus Dance course. Will you tell what the Banaras Hindu University BMus Dance Eligibility Criteria to apply also provide details about Mode of Admission?

The BHU Dance Department at present offers 2 years M.Mus course, 3 year B.Mus course and 3 year Part time Diploma course in both Kathak and Bhartnatyam.

Eligibility Criteria / Entry Requirements


Passed 10+2 or equivalent examination or a Graduate/Postgraduate Degree with
(i) Dance / Instrumental Music / Dance (Kathak and Bharatnatyam) as one of the subjects.
(ii) Third year of 3-Year Diploma in Dance/ Instrumental Music/ Dance (Kathak/ Bharatnatyam) Examination of BHU or equivalent Examination.
(iii) Without offering Dance/ Instrumental Music / Dance (Kathak / Bharatnatyam) as one of the subjects, provided the candidate has passed any of the following Examinations. (For Dance / Instrumental / Dance)

(a) Senior Diploma Exam. of the Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad.
(b) Madhyama Exam. of the Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapeeth, Lucknow.
(c) Madhyama in Music Exam. of Madhya Pradesh Govt., M.P.
(d) Madhyama Exam. of A.B.G.M.V. Mandal, Mumbai.
(e) Madhyama Exam. of Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalay, Khairagarh. (For Dance only)
(f) Part time Diploma Exam. of five years of Kalakshetra, Chennai.
(g) Senior Certificate Course issued under the auspices of Tamilnadu Govt.
(h) Fifth year of Five-Year Diploma of Bharatiya Nritya Mandir, Patna.

Mode of Admission


Admissions are made through an Entrance Examination Undergraduate Entrance Test (UET) generally conducted between May/June every year. Notification for the Entrance Examination will be generally released during February every year.

Admission to Foreign Nationals


This course is open for Foreign Nationals as per the rules of the University. The inter-se merit among the applicants of various foreign nationals will be decided by the "Core Committee for Admissions of Foreign Nationals", which shall be deemed as final.
