Khazar University is seeking an English Language and Literature Department Chair who can lead the department towards achieving the goals and pursuing the department's mission.

Responsibilities
The person will be reporting to Vice Rector for Academic Affairs; providing academic leadership and management for the English Language and Literature department on issues such as developing curriculum and courses; contributing to evaluation of courses; recruiting; supervising; supporting the continuing professional development of academic staff; evaluating the faculty performance; teaching (undergraduate and/or graduate); and producing publications or other research outputs.

Minimum qualifications
Successful applicants are required to have a PhD in Linguistics or related fields such as English Literature, could demonstrate good administrative and organizational skills, and have minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience in higher education institutions.
