Bachelor of Design in Fashion Design is a flagship program of NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology). Its curriculum enhances a design sensitization that balances global fashion aesthetics with an Indian feeling.

It addresses the needs of the export market as well as both dressmaking and pret-a-porter in India. Complete inputs on generic design with focused approach towards apparel inculcate the ability to develop and channelize creativity. One must have successfully completed any of the following:

The +2 level exam in the 10+2 pattern of exam of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Exam, such as Central Board of Secondary Education / State Board New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Exam, New Delhi

General Certificate Education (GCE) Exam (London/Cambridge/Sri-Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level/ International Baccalaureate (IB)

Any Public School/Board/University Exam in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system

A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Exam conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects

One appearing for the Board exam can also apply, subject to fulfilling necessary eligibility conditions at the time of counselling/admission as mentioned in the Prospectus.
