PhD Eligibility-

Master's degree in the relevant field or a professional degree with at least 50% marks OR M.Phil degree with 55% marks

5% relaxation is given to candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.

Candidates who have a degree equivalent to M.Phil from a recognized Foreign Educational Institution are also eligible for Ph.D. admission.

Admission Process

Candidates are selected on the basis of merit in the Entrance Test held by the university followed by an interview.

The entrance test is 2-hour long consisting of 100 MCQs of 100 marks with 50% questions from research methodology and 50% from the concerned subject.

Admission will be offered in the order of merit as per the results of entrance examination and the reservation policy of the university.

Candidates who have qualified UGC-NET (including JRF)/ UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/ SLET/ GATE or teaching fellowship holders will be exempted from the entrance exam. Such candidates have to appear in the interview only.
