Yes dear, you can take admission in B.Tech Mechanical after diploma in Automobile through lateral entry because there is need of diploma degree to get admission in engineering and as you said that, you are having a diploma degree.

The admission to the B.Tech program through lateral entry can be done through certain admission tests. Various university and institution that offers the course carries out these tests. Those who have passed 3-year diploma in the related subject are eligible to apply for the same.

• Candidate must have passed diploma in any discipline.
