The Nalanda Open University is the only University in the State of Bihar meant for imparting learning exclusively through the system of distance education.

The University was established in March, 1987.

Nalanda Open University issued a notification for admission into two years B.Ed course. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for Nalanda Open University B.Ed Admission.

Education:

Candidates must have Permanent/temporary working teacher in any primary school, Sustainable accredited by Central Government/State Government, Semi-Government Institute.

Permanent/temporary working in any Primary/Middle/Secondary/Higher school, Sustainable accredited by Central Government/State Government, Semi-Government Institute, who have completed a program of teacher education recognized by NCTE in a regular manner(face to face).

Examination Pattern:

The duration of exam will be two hours.
The written test for B.Ed Admission will consist of 120 marks.
Questions will be asked from English Comprehension (15 questions), Logical and Analytical Reasoning (25), General Hindi (15), General Knowledge (40) and Teaching Learning Environment in school (25).
