University of Kalyani was established in the year 1960 and it is a state-government administered, affiliating and Research University and It offers courses at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels.

Eligibility:
Candidate must be a graduate from any recognized university.

Candidate must have scored 50% in Bachelors degree or master’s degree or any other qualification equivalent thereto is eligible for the admission.

Reservation of the seats and the relaxation of the marks for the reserved category will be based on the rules.

Application fees:
Application fee (Rs.400/- for Gen/OBC/PH candidates & Rs.200/- for SC/ST + Bank Charges) as per Online Instructions.

Tentative dates:
Online Admission will Start on: last week of June, 2016
Last date for online application: Second week of July, 2016.

University of Kalyani is a type of state university.

It was established in the year 1960.

It is located in Kalyani, West Bengal, India.

It is affiliated by UGC.

It is placed in an urban setting touching the boundaries of some green rural
areas.

The eastern bank of the Ganges is only 2000 meters from the University and
its serene background is only 50 km from Kolkata.

It is close to "Kalyani Ghoshpara" railway station, 10 minutes walking
distance to Administration Building from the station, and the other campuses
are around it.

During Second world war this land was under the control of American army
who maintained an army depot here.

Few roadways and other constructions are still there to prove that past
history.

The Faculty of Education provides B.Ed course.
