The establishment of Dr B. R. Ambedkar University (initially known as Agra University) was laid on the 1st of July, 1927.

as a result of hectic endeavors of a band of enthusiastic educationists like Rev. Canon A.W. Davis, Munshi Narain Prasad Asthana, Dr L.P. Mathur, Lala Dewan Chand, Rai Bahadur Anand Swaroop and Dr Brajendra Swaroop,.

Original jurisdiction of University enlarged over United Provinces of Agra, Central India and Rajputana with 14 affiliated colleges and 2530 students of which, 1475 students belonged to United Provinces.

Originally, there were only four faculties in the University viz. Arts, Sciences, Commerce and Law

Eligibility

The candidate must be an Indian citizen

Candidates must have passed with at least 50% of marks either BA/B.Sc/B.Com/BCA/ B.Sc (Home Science)/BBM and/or the Masters Degree in Commerce/Social

Sciences/Humanities/Sciences at the time of submitting the application for B.Ed Entrance Test

Candidates must have secured a minimum of 55% marks in B.E/B.Tech with Science/Mathematics as one of the subjects or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible

However, the candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC/PH must have secured a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying exam

Candidates appearing for final year exam in the Qualifying Exam (Bachelor or a Higher Degree) can also apply

Age:

Candidate must have completed 21 years; no upper age limit (The reservation for SC/ST/BC/PH categories shall be as per the rules in force)

How to Apply

The Information booklet may be downloaded from the official site of BRAOU

Candidates have to register at official site only and pay the fee of Rs.400/- by Debit/Credit card through university portal OR pay an amount of Rs.435/- at any TS /AP Online Franchise Centre and obtain the receipt

Candidate has to choose the Exam Centre [i.e, any one of the Regional Co-ordination
Centers (RCC) of the University] as per their choice to appear for the Entrance test

Candidates are give advice to collect their hall ticket one day before the date of examination from the respective exam centre or download the same two days before from the university website
