Azim Premji Foundation is a not-for profit organisation that is working since 2000 with the elementary education system in rural government schools.

Schools
Schools focus on children from disadvantaged backgrounds. It will eventually serve children between 3 and 18 years of age from pre-school to Class 12 (currently lower primary classes only)

Schools are affiliated to State Boards of Education, have the state language as the medium of instruction - students will also learn English. It focuses on health and nutrition as a critical input and is free of cost.
