The Objectivist Academic Center (OAC) is a distance learning program of the Ayn Rand Institute (ARI) offering in-depth training in philosophy, communication and the skills needed to pursue an intellectual career.

The OAC is aimed at students who are planning to pursue intellectual careers in academia or public policy.

Students who are seriously considering careers in such fields as economics, history, psychology, philosophy, literature, journalism, policy analysis, and so on, they can apply

The OAC begins with a one-year intensive course—the Core Course. The goal of the Core Course is to help students develop a proper approach to philosophy and to offer training in the art of objective communication
