The Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) was constituted on November 15, 1983 by the President of India

The headquarters is in Mumbai.

2. IPSD : Industrial Plants Safety Division

3. C&RPD : Communication & Reactor Physics Division

4. R&DD :Resources & Documentation Division

5. NPSD : Nuclear Projects Safety Division

6. OPSD : Operating Plant Safety Division

7. RSD : Radiological Safety Division

8. NSAD : Nuclear Safety Analysis Division
