Can you provide me the eligibility required for applying for National Eligibility Test (NET) in Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB)? Also provide me the paper pattern of the exam?

National Eligibility Test (NET) in Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) Exam is specific qualifying exam for lecturers and assistant professors in state agricultural universities (SAU's) and other agricultural universities (AU).

The Board conducts the online assessment. National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted in sessions in 55 key disciplines across centers all over India.

One with a master’s degree or equivalent qualification in relevant discipline is eligible to apply for ASRB NET.

The Board notifies entrance exam for both Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Examination and National Eligibility Test (NET) together in a joint notification.

Eligibility for ASRB NET:

Age Limit:-

One must have attained the age of 21 years.
There is no upper age limit for the National Eligibility Test.

Educational Qualification:-
One must possess a Masters degree or equivalent in concerned discipline and specialization.

ASRB NET Paper Pattern:-

The Exam consists of one paper of 150 marks consisting of 150 objective types multiple choices.

The duration is two hours.

Each question carries one mark.

These 150 questions will be derived from respected disciplines for which the candidates have opted to appear.

Following is the minimum marks required for qualifying NET examination

Category of candidate - Minimum qualifying marks

•Un-reserved (UR) (General) / OBC(Creamy layer) - 50%.
•OBC (Non-Creamy layer) - 45%.
•SC / ST/ Physically Challenged (PC) Person - 40%.

Negative mark: 1/3 mark is deducted for each wrong answer in the NET examination.

The question papers for the exam will be set in both English and Hindi.

The answers are to be indicated in OMR sheet with blank ball point pen only.
