The Kolkata University is also known as University of Calcutta. The Academic Staff College application is provided by University of Calcutta.

The UGC-Academic Staff College, University of Calcutta was started its journey on October 08, 1990.

The ASC has persistently engaged itself in organizing increasing number of Orientation Programs, Refresher Courses, Seminars and Workshops with the objectives of helping the teachers discharge their professional commitments more effectively.
