Venkateshwara Open University (VOU) is a state private University established by the Venkateshwara Open University Act No.10 of 2012 of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh in 2012. It is empowered to award degrees by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

It has been awarded with "Global Education Skill Summit" at Indian International Centre on 23rd March, 2017. It has been recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC) and Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
