Can you tell me about the entrance exam which I have to clear to get admission in MBBS Program offered by AFMC (Armed Forces Medical College)?

The Armed Forces Medical College does not conduct the separate entrance examination for the admission in MBBS Program. Interested candidates can apply through NEET - National Eligibility cum Entrance Test -UG.

Eligibility Criteria
One should be citizen of India. Foreign nationals of Indian origin may be admitted into AFMC only after they have acquired Indian Citizenship or in respect of whom the Ministry of Home Affairs issues a certificate of eligibility
One must be unmarried. Marriage during the course is not permitted
One should be medically fit as per prescribed standards by the Govt of India, Ministry of Defence (see Appendix A)

Age Criteria
One should have attained the age of 17 years
One from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu & Kashmir is eligible for admission to AFMC, Pune

Academic Qualifications
One must have passed one of the qualifying exams listed in the first attempt with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken simultaneously and securing minimum 60% of the aggregate marks in these 3 science subjects taken together and minimum 50% marks in English and 50% marks in each of the science subjects. One must have also passed an examination in Mathematics of the tenth standard.
The exams are:
The Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent exam in Science of a statutory Indian University/board or other recognized exam body with English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology which shall include practical test in all these science subjects
The Pre-professional/Pre-Medical Exam with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology (after passing either Higher Secondary School exam or pre-University or equivalent examination) which shall include practical test in tese science subjects
1st year of three years Degree course of a recognised University with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology including practical test in Science subjects provided the exam is a University Exam
Senior Secondary of a statutory Exam Board of Indian School Certificate Exam of 12 years of study, last 2 years of study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English at higher level
Any other exam which in scope and standard is found to be equivalent to the Higher Secondary Science/Pre-Professional/Pre-medical Exam of Indian University/Board with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology including practical test in each of these Science subjects
One who has appeared or will be appearing in qualifying examination may also apply
The criteria for marks in Qualifying Exam (i.e. 10 + 2 or equivalent exam) will remain the same for the B.Sc. candidates also

AFMC Pune Exam
One has to qualify the NEET UG examination conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)
Eligible candidates who are interested to join AFMC Pune, to pursue the MBBS course will have to mandatorily register and apply for AFMC, Pune on DGHS website during the registration window provided by the DGHS.
