The Indian Institute of Science Bangalore (IISc) and Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) conduct the Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. for admission to Integrated Ph.D. Degree Programmes at IISc Bangalore.

Group/ Category One Test Paper Two Test Papers

Female (All Categories)/SC/ST/PwD Rs 750/- Rs 1050/-

All Others Rs 1500/- Rs 2100/-

The application fee can be paid either online or through e-challan (additional transaction charges may apply).

IIT JAM Exam Dates

IIT JAM 2016 Date:- February 7 2016.

Session Time Test Paper Codes

I 09:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon BL, MA, PH

II 02:00 p.m. to 05:00 p.m. BT, CY, GG, MS

IT JAM Pattern:-

JAM examination will be conducted for the seven test papers, namely:

Biological Sciences (BL), Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Geology (GG), Mathematics (MA) , Mathematical Statistics (MS) and Physics (PH).

All seven test papers will be of fully objective type, with three different patterns of questions as follows:

Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ): Each MCQ type question has four choices out of which only one choice is the correct answer.

Multiple Select Questions (MSQ): Each MSQ type question is similar to MCQ but with a difference that there may be one or more than one choice(s) that are correct out of the four given choices.

Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions:

For each NAT type question, the answer is a signed real number which needs to be entered using the virtual keypad on the monitor.

No choices will be shown for these types of questions.
