I want to do B.Tech course from the Anna University Chennai so please give me details about the eligibility criteria required and the admission procedure of it? In which entrance exam I have to appear for get admission in B.Tech course in Anna University Chennai?

I want to know the eligibility criteria to apply for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions TNEA 2018 of Anna University Chennai so can you tell me?

Anna University will conduct Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions TNEA 2018 counselling for admission to UG engineering programmes at participating universities tentatively in July.

Admission to engineering programmes will be based on marks obtained by candidates in PCM in the qualifying examination.

The 10+2 normalized marks of the candidates will be reduced to 200 and used to prepare a rank list based on which the counselling will be held.

TNEA Eligibility Criteria

Candidates need to have passed HSC or any equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

The category-wise minimum aggregate % of marks required in the three subjects is given below:

Age Limit:

Candidate who are applying to Marine Engineering mustnt be older than 25 years on the last day of submission of online application deadline.

Additional Requirements for Marine Engineering:

Minimum Height: 157 cm

Minimum Weight: 48 Kg

Vision: Normal

For other state candidates:

Under the other-state quota, candidates who are Indian citizens but not a native of Tamil Nadu can apply.

Qualifying Exam and Marks: Candidates need to score a minimum of 50% aggerate marks in PCM taken together (40% in case of SC/ST candidates) in HSc or equivalent exam.
