Anna University Chennai Attendance Rules

Tell me the Rules & Regulation Of Attendance of Anna University Chennai? Only the students having minimum of 75 per cent of attendance allowed to sit in the exams of Anna University Chennai?

Bro I have the same problem.if s candidate have60% of his attendance,he is eligible for the exam.

I want to know the Rules Of Attendance in Anna University Chennai so will you please tell me?

Students in Anna University Chennai shall not absent themselves from the college without prior sanction of leave.

Rules Of Attendance

Normally, leave will be granted when it is applied for in advance for valid reasons.

All leave applications should be endorsed by the parent or guardian and recommended by the Head of the Department concerned.

Extending leave beyond three days in the case of sickness or other unavoidable reasons, the students shall be required to produce medical certificates or suitable authenticated documents to the Principal.

Applications for leave from students residing in the College hostel shall be routed through they Warden / Deputy Warden.

Students who require leave for the class must get permission from the lecturer concerned before the class begins.

The students absenting themselves without leave for one or more periods will be considered as absent for the whole day.

A student absenting oneself continuously for more than three days shall be fined at the discretion of the Principal and the matter will be referred to his/her parents.

If a student is absenting continuously for fifteen days without prior sanction, his/her name will be removed from rolls.

A student is expected to attend all classes and secure 100% attendance. However, for unavoidable reasons such as Medical /participation in sports / personal, he/she is expected to secure at least 75% of attendance in all semesters.

However, under the extraordinary circumstances when a student undergoes severe medical problem or represented the College in state or national level, the College reserves the right to condone 10% of the shortage of attendance. In such cases, a student with 65% attendance will be permitted to take University Examinations.

Candidates who secure less than 65% of overall attendance will not be permitted under any circumstances to write the University Examination at the end of the semester. Such students are required to repeat the whole year.
