Re: Anna university Admission
The rank list is considered by the participating universities for offering admissions. No entrance exam will be organized by the University for offering admissions to the engineering colleges. Anna University is the exam conducting authority of the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA). The B Tech seats will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of class 12th class board exam percentage. Important Dates of TNEA 2018 Start of Online Registration May 3, 2018 Deadline for completing Online Registration June 2, 2018 Assigning of Random Number June 5, 2018 (12 PM) Commencement of Certificates Verification at The Nilgiris June 8-11, 2018 Commencement of Certificates Verification at all other TFC's June 8-14, 2018 Commencement of Certificates Verification at Chennai June 8-17, 2018 Declaration of Rank List June 28, 2018 Commencement of online choice filling & confirmation First week of July, 2018 TNEA Merit List A separate merit list is prepared for offering admissions on the basis of candidates 12th standard marks. Counselling process is conducted separately for the seven categories such as OC, BC, BCM (BC Muslim), MBC & DNC, SC, SCA and ST reservation. Rank list of TNEA has been prepared based on total marks of 200 (Mathematics 100, Physics + Chemistry 100). If 2 or more candidates score the same marks in the common merit list, the inter-se-merit of the candidates would be decided in a following order of priority: Percentage of marks obtained in Mathematics Percentage of marks in Physics Percentage of marks in the fourth optional subject Age of the candidate (the older candidate will be given preference) Random number assigned (higher number will be placed higher in merit list of TNEA) |
