The Department of Statistics was established in the year 1951 at Andhra University.

The department offers two Postgraduate Courses namely, M.Sc. (Statistics) and M.Sc. (Computers and Statistics) along with Ph.D and M.Phil programmes.

It conducted several projects sponsered by UGC, DST and other Govt. Organisations.
